Werner has been a hot property in Europe since long and this season his demand rose by many folds. In the 40 appearances this season, he managed to bag 31 goals and 12 assists.
He even played an instrumental role in RB Leipzig’s impactful campaign in Bundesliga and at one time they were even in serious contention of winning the title but ultimately lost crucial points in recent matches.
Nevertheless, Werner will be a bright addition in the Blues’ squad, but it will definitely impact the role of Tammy Abraham at the club, who gave a promising debut season and showed the potential of leading Chelsea’s frontline.
But at the same time, Lampard has to look at the upgrades and add depth in the squad. Moreover, Abraham had his share of injuries because of the overburden of the games he played.
