According to several media reports, Ganguly charges around INR 1 crore for an endorsement. Ganguly has more followers than many active Indian cricketers. He has 3.1 million followers on Instagram and 6.5 million on Twitter. The influence of social media is huge nowadays and these numbers are surely in Ganguly’s favour.

Ganguly started his international career in 1992. Having become the captain of the side a few years later, his popularity grew immensely. Hence, his personality instantly attracted a lot of brands back in the day as well. Before announcing his retirement in 2008, it is said that he used to earn around INR 1.5 crore per endorsement. He has been earning a constant sum of money even after retiring from the sport.

Ganguly’s net worth is amounted to be around INR 700 crore in 2023. He works with Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Capitals as well. Apart from his luxurious house in Kolkata, Ganguly also owns a property in London. The former captain love cars and has some of the top models in his garage.

Sourav Ganguly Faced Criticism For Endorsing Brands As BCCI President

Ganguly, who served as the President of the BCCI (Board of control for Cricket in India) between 2019-2022, exited on a bitter note. It was said that former BCCI president N Srinivasan attacked Ganguly for defaming BCCI.

During his presidential stint, Ganguly was endorsing some brands and which were said to be falling under the conflict of interest clause. However, his association with My11Circle found him in dark waters with respect to practicing something which was “unethical” according to detractors.

For the uninitiated, My11Circle is an online gaming website and their arch-rivals Dream11 were already working with Indian cricket as one of their sponsors. This was certainly a thing that went against Ganguly. Readers must note that he is still working with My11Circle, whereas Dream11 is now the official sponsor of the Indian Cricket Team.
