WATCH: When Rohit Sharma Hilariously Scared A Fan By Not Returning Back His Phone Post Selfie

Be it the on-field moments with fellow teammates, media briefings, post-match addresses, or during brand events, India captain Rohit Sharma‘s presence, more often than not, makes sure that there no dull moments. His camaraderie and equation with players in both the Indian team and at Mumbai Indians is quite a visual treat for his fans.

One such moment was witnessed during the recently concluded 16th season of the Indian Premier League when the MI skipper was perhaps on his way towards the dressing room after the conclusion of one of the league stage matches.

As is often the case in majority Indian cricket stadiums, the ever-enthusiastic fans just wait for an opportunity to have a picture alongside their favourite player(s) in a single frame. This is where Rohit made sure to scare the wits out of a particular fan.

Rohit Sharma Hilariously Scared A Fan By Not Returning Back His Phone Post Selfie

In what is a common practice these days, quite a few fans hand their mobile phones to a celebrity in their proximity and request him/her to take a selfie. As Rohit was walking up the stairs, plenty of fans from across the fence would request one from the star cricketer.

The 36-year-old did pay heed to one of the requests, and made sure to grab a fan’s iPhone to take a group selfie. While he did provide him a picture worth a souvenir, little did he know that he was about to be a victim of a hilarious prank.

Post taking the selfie, the Mumbai batter nonchalantly started walking up the stairs with the phone in hand and behaved as if he has decided to not return it back.

Already surrounded by aplenty spectators around him, this fan was scared to the core after Rohit’s mischief. He was seen yelling amidst the deafening crowd, earnestly pleading to have his phone back.

Rohit Sharma Hands His Phone Back

Having already gone way past the fan, it seemed like the Indian captain was not in the mood to end the prank anytime soon. However, he did turn his back eventually and handed the phone back to its rightful owner.

While the fan must have surely taken a heavy sigh of relief, he would definitely think twice before taking a similar risk with any other celebrity he comes across.
