SRH vs RR Dream 11 Prediction : IPL Fantasy Tips for SRH vs RR as The SportsRush helps you form the best possible Dream 11 team

It was an entertaining night in Chinnaswamy yesterday, one that was marred by a last ball no-ball controversy. Chasing 188, RCB had gotten most things right with respect to the chase, that was largely set up by the partnership between Virat Kohli and ABD. Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga brought MI back into the game with some brilliant death bowling.

Malinga had the onus of taking MI home in the last over and he did so, as Dube couldn’t hit him for a 6 off the last ball. However, Malinga had overstepped, something that was shown on the big screen, after the players had walked off the field. An umpiring error cost RCB the chance to have a second go at hitting that winning shot.

The IPL now moves to Hyderabad, with SRH roaring to take on RR, in a battle that is tipped to be bring together David Warner and Steve Smith for the first time in the IPL after the ball tampering fiasco.

Both teams are coming off close losses and will want to get on a winning spree as soon as possible. We as fantasy managers too need to get some momentum going with respect to our fantasy points.

Let’s get to business now.

Wicketkeeper

For the wicketkeeping slot, it is going to be a straight shootout between Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow. Bairstow could make way for Williamson and thus I wouldn’t recommend playing him. Also, if somehow, SRH manage to play Bairstow, the kind of form Buttler is in, it would be foolish to leave him out, no matter what price he comes for.

Bowlers

Some of the best bowlers in the IPL are on display on Friday, and I would recommend bringing them all in, as the SRH track can sometimes be sluggish and offer a lot of assistance to bowlers up front and during the death.

SRH have the best bowling lineup in the entire IPL and you could stack your team up with bowlers from their team. Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar walk into my XI, as they have been brilliant with the ball for SRH. Rashid Khan could knock over the right handed dominated RR middle order and Bhuvi could clean up the lower middle order at the death.

Siddharth Kaul bowled well during the middle overs and at the death in the game against KKR. As he is certain to bowl at least two overs at the death, I would pick him over any of the other ‘second string’ bowlers on offer on Friday.

My 4th bowling pick would be Jofra Archer. He has been brilliant with the ball for RR in the powerplay and again shoulders the responsibility at the death as well. Get him in.

For the last bowling slot, I would go in with one from Khaleel Ahmed and Sandeep Sharma(this is a budget pick).

All-Rounders

Vijay Shankar slotted into that number 4 slot brilliantly in SRH’s last outing, scoring briskly at the end and taking SRH to an above par total against KKR’s stingy bowling unit. He could also be called on to bowl a few overs during the middle phase. Get him, he is value for money.

Ben Stokes is the best all-rounder on display on Friday and thus I won’t think twice before bringing him in. He is sure to bowl at least a couple at the death and comes in handy with the bat at number 5 as well. Get him in for sure.

Batsmen

David Warner set the stage on fire on his return, scoring a brisk and well-crafted 85 of 53 balls. It just felt like he never left, just like how he shouldn’t really leave your fantasy team, ever. Get the pocket-sized dynamite in.

Kane Williamson is certain to return to the SRH starting XI and I too will be drafting him straight in. Williamson led the SRH admirably to the final, and was also the leading run scorer of the tournament. He has learnt to play with a brisk rate too, not that it matters too much in Dream 11,  but still. He is sure to give you at least 20-30 points every game.

For the final pick, I am going to once again use a ‘dummy pick’ like last night, as a lot of high-priced players are on display. Aryaman Birla would be that dummy pick. I am using a dummy pick here because I feel that investing heavily in  10 good players that are certain to make a good impact is better than selecting a couple of average players just to ensure that all of your 11 players.
