Euro 2016 Fantasy Scout:

Wales’ transition from lowly rated underdogs to tournament favourites has been an admirable one. The way Joel Allen, Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale are operating, there are very few teams who can deal with that kind of pace, trickery and vision. They won comfortably against Russia and qualified for the knockout stages as group toppers.

Roy Hodgson tried to be a little smart by resting 6 key players before the playoffs, ultimately resulting in England qualifying second from their group. This means they could be exposed to some of the better teams in the round of 16, something that the English fans won’t be happy about.

On the Fantasy front, it was a disastrous day as Dele Alli made a late appearance and didn’t do much. But with 6 players in line to play today, I hope I get a good enough boost in my rankings.

Let’s get to business now!

Now, I already have Manuel Neuer, Sergio Ramos, Thomas Muller and Nolito in my team for this game

With Alli and Payet making short second half appearences, I think I’ll have to use my entire bench to help me come out of this slump.

I will be transferring in Ozil for Witsel, who is scheduled to play the late night game tomorrow.

Ozil has looked lively and full of creativity in both the opening games and should consider himself unlucky to haven’t bagged more assists. Muller and Gotze haven’t been clinical and if they step up, Germany could very well be amongst the goals pretty soon.

Captain for today: Mesut Ozil

Again and again I have stressed on the fact that a midfielder is the best captain option and especially an attacking midfielder (or someone who plays as number 10) because a midfielder gets 5 points for a goal as opposed to 4 points that a striker gets. And that is why I opt for Ozil over Muller and Nolito.

Other Impact Players

Toni Kroos, Howedes, Andres Iniesta, Alvaro Morata, Gerard Pique, Robert Lewandowski
