With the transfer window almost coming to a close, clubs are scrambling around to get some last minute deals across the line.

With all the negativity surrounding Chelsea, their 2-1 victory over Tottenham away was a surprising result to say the least.

The reigning Premier League champions have been in shambles even before the seasons started. Conte first had problems with the Chelsea board for not making enough signings.

The Chelsea boss is now looking to add some more fire power to his side, which is why he is still in the market for a striker.

Reports are now coming in that Jamie Vardy may have become Chelsea’s number one priority in the striker’s position.

The Leicester City marksman, who scored two in the opening day loss to Arsenal, is still one of the most feared strikers in the Premier League.

His sheer pace and lethal finishing makes him a terrifying opponent for defenders, which is why Conte is interested in signing him.

But he will have some competition in the form of Everton. The Merseyside club have shown a lot of ambition this transfer window and want to add some more fire power to their side.

They will rival Chelsea for Vardy’s signature, as they look to grab the English striker for around 30 million.
