Lewis Hamilton believes Sebastian Vettel will be back just as Nico Hulkenberg

Sebastian Vettel announced the end of his F1 career earlier this year and Lewis Hamilton has still not accepted that the 4-time world champion has completely taken leave from the motorsport.

Hamilton shares a strong bond with Vettel and believes that he is the only driver who stands for something other than himself.

The 7-time world champion thinks that it will not be long before the German makes a return to the grid. He used the example of Nico Hulkenberg returning to the F1 grid with the Haas F1 team as the reason why he believes Vettel will return.

Speaking to Channel 4 in an interview, the Briton said, “I mean, Hulkenberg coming back! There is this whole build up but he’ll be back in one way, shape or form.

Why Lewis Hamilton admires Sebastian Vettel?

During his time in F1, the German driver has been quite vocal about social/environmental issues around the globe. His special helmets and t-shirts which have been a regular occurrence at races have caught the attention of a lot of politicians and fans around the globe.

Hamilton has been keen to point out this particular quality of the 4-time world champion and has insisted that it is something that F1 will surely miss.

He said that he feels really grateful and honoured to have the relationship that he shares with him currently.

Hamilton organised Vettel’s F1 dinner

Ahead of the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi, Hamilton and the rest of the grid came together to bid farewell to the German driver.

A rare show of harmony was seen among the drivers on the grid when they came together and the Briton revealed that he organised the entire dinner because he thought it was quite important.

The entire group of drivers had not had dinner together since the 2016 Chinese GP weekend. Hamilton described Vettel’s party as one of the best evenings.
