This is not the first time that animals have gatecrashed tennis matches. The Inguana may have been the first of its kind, but we have had many other animals who bravely went onto the tennis court.

Here are the five times animals made an entry on to the tennis court

5) A snake on the court

The 2016 ATP Franken Challenger event in Furth, Germany was paid a visit by an innocent little snake who slithered his way on the court.

Local player Julian Reister was going to go up against Brazil’s Caio Zampieri and were still just warming up when a spectator from the stand noticed the snake and yelled “STOP” to both the players.

It was left to the terrified organizer André Zietsman to get rid of the snake. (Fives times animals made an entry on to the tennis court)

4) Black Cat

Roberta Vinci may have been a big fan of cats before her match against Çala Büyükakçay, but she was clearly unimpressed by the its little visit during a crucial phase of her match.

Vinci was playing well and was going to take the first set 6-5 when a black cat decided to make an appearance on the court.

It was an amusing sight to watch as clearly angry Vinci was left standing alone as the ball boys were trying chase to cat away.

3) Snake again

Gonzalo Lama of Chile and Great Britain’s James Ward were given the fright of their lives when a snake made a dramatic entry during their first round match at the ATP Challenger event in Sarasota, Florida.

Lama had played well and reached match point when the crowd and the players suddenly noticed a snake slithering its way on to the court.

With nobody willing to get rid of the snake, everyone just had to wait for the guest to leave on its own accord.

2) Cow on the court

The Gwalior Chambal Tennis Association had organized a tennis competition solely for women with the prize money of $15,000.

While the women participated in great numbers and had a great day, the highlight of the event was when a cow wandered onto the court and halted two adjacent matches.

It did not care that the officials and players were telling it to go away and just roamed around the court at its own leisurely pace before eventually going away.

1) Iguana on the court

Florida is known as the land of reptiles but you still do not expect them to interrupt a tennis event.

Tommy Haas and Jiri Vesely just stood and watched along with the rest of the crowd as a massive iguana made its way on to the court and sat up on the railings. (Fives times animals made an entry in to the tennis court)

As the officials tried to catch it, the Iguana made a run for it which prompted Tommy Haas to record the incident with his cell phone.

It was a highly amusing scene which provided comic relief to everyone.
