Lionel Messi gave us one of the best performances of his career last Sunday when he inspired Barcelona to a monumental victory over arch rivals Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. But after such a display reports are filtering in which Messi makes a STUNNING demand to the Barcelona hierarchy in preparation for the next season.
Barcleona had to win to stand any chance of winning the league title while even a draw was good enough for Real Madrid. But Messi struck twice including the winner in stoppage time to bring the three points back to the Nou Camp.
Now Messi has made a stunning demand to the Barcelona board as he is not happy with the way this season has progressed for the club. He wants to remove the deadwood at the club such as Arda Turan, Andre Gomes and Jeremy Mathieu.
Messi wants the club to target new defenders as well as attacking midfielders. Messi has personally requested Di Maria to brought in from PSG. Messi has requested for a replacement for Iniesta as it looks like age has caught up with him.
Also Neymar and Suarez are apparently not happy with the service that they are getting from the midfield and Messi wants to correct that.
Messi always had a different status at the club but it looks like he is having far more of an influence as compared to previous seasons. The Barcelona board are in a tricky spot as they do not want to upset their prized asset while at the same they do not want to rip up their entire team and build one from scratch as well.
