Neymar tearful while speaking about Lionel Messi

Neymar gets emotional while speaking about Lionel Messi in an interview.

Neymar decided to leave Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain during the summer of 2017. The Brazilian stayed for four years at Nou Camp and lifted the La Liga and Champions League with the Catalans.

He enjoyed success at Catalonia, but learning his unsettled nature at the club, Paris Saint-Germain decided to make a move for the 27-year-old. With this move, he has become the costliest player in the world in a deal which involved a huge 223 million euros.

Neymar arrived from Santos as a 21-year-old from Santos in 2013 and did not straightaway team up with his fellow colleagues as he was a bit shy. In an interview with the Brazilian outlet GloboTV, the PSG striker was in tears when he was speaking about the Argentine superstar, whom he said helped him when he needed it the most.

“Honestly, it’s difficult, very difficult for me to talk about Messi, because it was very special for me at Barcelona, I say this to everybody,”

“At the moment when I needed the most support, the best player in the world arrived and gave me a hand. He said: ‘Come here, I’m here to help you’.” said Neymar.

He went on to add that Messi advised him not to be “shy” and not to be afraid of anybody at the club. During his time at Nou Camp, he scored 105 goals in 186 games and is regarded as the third best player in the world after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The full interview will be aired on GloboTV next month.

In recent months, Neymar has been linked with a move back to Barcelona. Even Lionel Messi decided to speak about Brazilian’s comeback and said that he would welcome him with open arms once again.

“I think it is complicated how Neymar would leave PSG,” Messi said.

“We would love him to come back, as a player and in the dressing room. We’re friends, we had some good experiences together and others not so much,”

Given the amount of money Barcelona have spent on recruitment in the last three years, it is unlikely to see Neymar heading to Nou Camp this summer. There is no doubt that the French outfit will be looking for the same fee they invested two years back which automatically rules the Blaugrana out of the transfer contention.
