Premier League Giants Liverpool could be raided again this summer after Barcelona superstar Philippe Coutinho recommended a transfer to Camp Nou chiefs.

Barcelona is off to a flying start this season. Since Ernesto Valverde took charge of the club, there is no looking back for the Catalans. They have already wrapped up the Spanish La Liga with three games in hand and are a staggering 15 points ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid.

But according to transfer rumor specialists Don Balon, Coutinho doesn’t want Camp Nou chiefs to rest on their laurels. The midfielder has been impressed with Can’s performances at Anfield this season. Seeing his performances, it has been reported that Philippe Coutinho has demanded Camp Nou chiefs to snap up Emre Can from Liverpool in order to bolster their midfield.

If reports are to believed then Can is understood to be on the radars of Juventus and Real Madrid going into the summer transfer window. Yet Spanish publications Don Balon reports that Philippe Coutinho wants his former teammate at the Camp Nou. The report suggests that the deal could see Sergio Busquets leave Camp Nou. Busquets has spent the entirety of his career at the Nou Camp and may be tempted by a new challenge elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Emre Can is facing an uphill battle to be fit for Liverpool’s Champions League final with Real Madrid. Speaking about Can’s injury, Jürgen Klopp said: “His important day is Monday, then we can make the decision if he starts training with us. It would be good news for the final…probably not for the last game of the season.”

What a signing he could be. The German is full of energy and possession. He doesn’t negate his responsibilities at the back, either, as he is aware and positionally smart on the rare occasion the English giants have some defending to do. He’s surely a world-class talent that would improve any squad in the game.
