Just a few hours after beating Saina Nehwal in the quarter finals of the All India Open Superseries in Delhi, ace badminton player PV Sindhu has decided to call it a time on her badminton career after this tournament. (Badminton star PV Sindhu has decided to call it quits )

Sindhu will now be aiming to go out on a high by winning the All India Open Superseries for the very first time in her career.

While people are undoubtedly shocked by Sindhu’s sudden decision, she has made it very clear that she wants to end things on her own terms and not leave when she was no longer the player that she once was.

Sindhu is the currently ranked 5th in the World Badminton rankings and is the highest seeded Indian left in the completion.

Sindhu shot to fame after she won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. An ecstatic Sindhu said that winning an Olympic medal was always her dream and that she will take some time to get used to the tag of being an Olympic Medalist. (Badminton star PV Sindhu has decided to call it quits )

“I had come here with an aim of winning a medal. That has happened. Life will definitely change from now. I can already feel it. But for now, I’m just getting used to the idea of ‘Olympic medallist’ next to my name.”
