On a weekend where the entire country is trying to gauge the reason for Kattapa killing Bahuballi, I am sure RCB fans are trying to fathom how the best batting line up in the event can fail so miserably thrice in a row. RCB have had a torrid time this year and every time when it feels that things couldn’t go further south for them, they take the onus of dishing out something even shoddier.

Too much of chopping and changing has resulted in RCB not having a settled unit but even the ones who have been part of every game have not stood up in dire situations. ABD has to bear a lot of brunt for his performance this season, as apart from his first game he hasn’t really kicked on in any of the games.

Virat Kohli was left distraught after today’s loss, unable to fathom the reason for this shambolic performance.

Clarity of thought is something that the RCB batsmen are struggling to find. The talent is there, but the mindset isn’t. They are caught in between ‘going for it’ and ‘keeping it mellow’. Either they end up going too hard or being too tentative, they have just not been able to find that middle ground, and it has hindered their campaign big time.

Virat Kohli tried to hold the ship tonight but with zero assistance from his crew, even the captain couldn’t weather the storm.

This is how Twitter reacted to RCB being officially knocked out from the tournament:
