Arsenal are looking at Yacine Brahimi to bolster their front line.

Arsenal are having an eye on Porto winger Yacine Brahimi who has refused to extend his contract with the Portuguese outfit. Including the Gunners, the Algerian has been chased by several others including Manchester United and Everton who have contacted his representatives to make a move following this season, according to the English outlet Mirror.

Unai Emery spoke about the number of funds he would have in the January transfer window to spend which has brought an uneasiness in their road towards the top four finish and among the fans.

The Spaniard spent a total of 80 million in the summer transfer window which has complicated things for the Gunners in this month. There have been plenty of skepticism about the Champions League qualification for the next season given the number of mistakes they made as a defensive unit week in week out.

The Gunners have shipped 31 goals which makes them the second worst defense in the top six, only second to Manchester United who have leaked only one more than Unai Emery’s side. The summer acquisition of Sokratis Papostothopolous has done a favour by settling the other centre-back down, but Bernd Leno has not justified his 25 million price tag till date.

However, the likes of Shrokdan Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny have been a calamity at the back from minute one along with Stephen Leichsteiner. In all honestly, Unai Emery will want to qualify for the Champions League to strengthen his squad overall.

If Gunners fail to play the Champions League, there is no doubt that the Spaniard would have restricted sum to spend before the kick start of next season. Despite those, there is no doubt that Brahimi could make an excellent backup at the Emirates.

In the recent weeks, Arsenal have been linked with the La Liga duo Denis Suarez, Ever Banega and the Belgian International Yannick Carrasco. But, Unai Emery has come out and said that the Gunners are working on loan deals as they would not be able to spend any sorts of an amount in January to sanction any deals.

The Gunners will travel to Olympic Stadium to play West Ham United on Saturday in what might prove to an entertaining contest.
