Arsenal set to hold talks with Thierry Henry for managerial position

Arsene Wenger’s tryst with Arsenal has come to an end and it has left a void that could possibly be extremely difficult to fill at least for the next few years.

Arsenal are on the lookout for managers and while the rumour mill suggests that Mikel Arteta is the one that has been finalised for the job, Sky sources have revealed that the board is planning to approach Thierry Henry in order to persuade him to take the Arsenal job.

Thierry Henry is an Arsenal legend but doesn’t have any substantial coaching experience.

Arteta on the other hand was Guardiola’s assistant manager in City’s title winning 2017/18 season.

Arteta would have learnt a few tricks of the trade from Guardiola, but he too doesn’t have any managerial experience until now.

While Henry might seem like the better choice to a lot of Arsenal fans who have been associated with the club for long, for most both these choices don’t seem that intriguing, primarily because of the lack of managerial experience at the top level.

With a club that is undergoing transition, you need a very sane and experienced manager who can take charge and set things straight from day one.

Arsenal fans would be hoping to find a seasoned manager rather than getting ex-players in so early in this ‘transition phase’.

The Arsenal think tank have given themselves until June 14(start of the World Cup) to finalise the new manager.

The new Arsenal manager though will be inheriting a wonderful squad, one that with a few reinforcements and the right guidance could challenge for the Premier League title next season.

Tread very carefully Arsenal, very carefully.
