Arsenal are in red-hot form at the moment. Unai Emery’s side is enjoying a great run in form as the team is currently on a 8-match winning streak across all competitions. Unai Emery’s side are fifth in the Premier League, level on points with city rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Last week, Arsenal also cruised to the next round of the Carabao Cup, after defeating the lower-league side Brentford. Unai Emery’s side then defeated the high-flying Watford in the weekend fixture.

In their Europa League match against Qarabag, Arsenal comfortably extended their winning run to eight games in all competitions. Arsenal beat Qarabag 3-0, with goals from Sokratis, Emile Smith-Rowe and Mateo Guendouzi secured another three points for the Gunners.

Arsenal will now face Fulham in the Premier League this weekend in a bid to extend their winning run to nine games, as well as maintain the pressure for the Premier League top-4.

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to return to action after not being included in the game against Qarabag. The Gabon striker was sick and unable to travel to Azerbaijan, but is now fit and is in contention to start at Craven Cottage.


Ainsley-Maitland Niles, who was injured in the Premier League opener against Manchester City, is also making injury and is expected to return after the international break next week.

Petr Cech will recover within 3-4 weeks, while Koscielny is expected to resume full training from November.

What next?

Apart from their on-field performances, Arsenal are also taking positive steps in their off-the-field activities in the transfer market. According to FOX Deportes USA, Arsenal have sealed the transfer for Paraguayan international Miguel Almiron.

The Gunners are reportedly interested in signing Ever Banega to replace Aaron Ramsey, who is expected to leave next year as the talks for a new contract between the Welsh midfielder and the club have failed.

The players will head off for the international break after the match against Fulham, and Arsenal will return to Premier League action on October 23 against Leicester City.
