Chelsea Transfer News: Blues aiming Ajax goalkeeper to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga

Chelsea Transfer News: Frank Lampard aims to land Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is out of favours.

Chelsea finally ends up in the top-4 of the Premier League, which they weren’t expecting till the last winter but now since the milestone been achieved the Blues need imperative inclusions in the team.

According to Athletic’s David Ornstein, Andre Onana is the favourite to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is currently the world’s most expensive goalkeeper in the world.

However, the Spanish goalkeeper has constantly been out of favours with Frank Lampard, who has constantly dropped him because of a number of poor performances.

Also, Chelsea would be hoping to challenge for the Premier League next season and they have already made two brilliant signings in the name of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.

And now are also aiming to sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen. On the other hand, Lampard acknowledges he needs reinforcements at the back, and would probably get 1-2 signings over there too by the end of the transfer window.

Kepa has constantly been scrutinized over the season, and the constant links with Onana raise a red flag for the Spaniard, who might soon see an end to his time at the London based club.

Kepa benched in the last Premier League game- an end to the road?

Lampard raised eyebrows after his lineup showed Kepa on the bench and Willy Caballero, several rumours mounted that the English manager has absolutely lost trust in Kepa by dropping him in a crucial match against Wolves, which was set to decide their European fate.

Lampard talked to the Skysports about dropping Kepa in the match against Wolves, but he didn’t give a reasonable answer which deepens the suspicion even more.

“Just a choice, Kepa’s had some difficult times so I am playing Willy,” Lampard told Sky Sports.
