Welbeck to Everton

Danny Welbeck to Everton: The English international could leave Arsenal at the end of the summer, and Everton are reportedly interested.

According to various reports, Everton, are interested in signing Arsenal striker, Danny Welbeck, and are monitoring the 27-year-old’s situation at the Emirates under new manager Unai Emery.

Welbeck’s current contract expires at the end of this season in June 2019, and it is highly unlikely that the Englishman will get a contract extension with the Gunners.

Danny Welbeck to Everton?

It is reported that Arsenal would prefer to offload Welbeck in January, rather than losing him on a free transfer at the end of the summer. The striker is open to negotiate with clubs abroad and possibly sign a deal that might just revive his career.

Everton kept a close eye on Welbeck throughout this past summer window, however, the Toffees could not agree on a deal for the signature of the former Manchester United striker.

Danny Welbeck has scored five goals so far this season, scoring twice against Brentford in Arsenal’s League Cup opener.

The 27-year-old has joined Aaron Ramsey as the players on the exit door of the Emirates. The Welshman has his contract running until June 2019, and with no contract renewal in hindsight, he might also be leaving the Gunners along with Welbeck.

Nevertheless, new manager Unai Emery is reported to be unwilling to offload his players to fellow Premier League clubs, which might just eliminate the chance for Everton to sign the former Manchester United striker.

Welbeck yet to sign a new contract:

However, what is understandable is that Welbeck is on his way out of Arsenal, with the striker’s injury-filled Arsenal career going further down the hill following the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this past January from Borussia Dortmund.

If Everton manage to sign Welbeck in January, it will reunite the 27-year-old with his former Arsenal teammate, Theo Walcott, who has formed a good partnership with Richarlison this season at the Goodison Park.

Welbeck’s inclusion will bring up a great trident for Marco Silva, if the former manages to remain fit through his time with the Toffees.
