The Eliminator match in the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Vizag tomorrow. With 18 and 12 points respectively during the league stage, Capitals and Sunrisers finished as third and fourth in the points table.

With both the teams playing each other on a neutral venue, the discussion of home advantage moves out of contention. Furthermore, with tomorrow’s contest being a knockout one, the luxury of playing a league match will also be snatched from both the teams.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals had earlier faced each other in the 16th match of IPL 2019. After Sunrisers stand-in captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the toss and put in the hosts to bat at Feroz Shah Kotla, DC were restricted to 129/8 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.

Despite a middle-order collapse, Sunrisers had ended up on the winning side on the back of wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow scoring 48 (28) with the help of nine fours and a six.

Much like SRH winning their away match, DC also won their away match. It happened when Sunrisers Hyderabad collapsed from 101/2 to 116/10 while chasing a 156-run target. Delhi Capitals‘ overseas pacers in Kagiso Rabada, Keemo Paul and Chris Morris had picked up four, three and three wickets respectively.
