Federer vs Millman highlights as the Australian pulls off one of the biggest upsets of his career.

A largely fatigued and erroneous Federer took the court at the Arthur Ashe today. Everything about him seemed off, his baseline play, his serve, the overuse of the drop shots and even the excessive perspiration.

The first set win masked all of that though, as Federer seemed to be on course for a routine evening in New York.

6-3, 5-4(40-15) up and John Millman was in for a drubbing of sorts, but he dug deep, made Federer stretch and attained parity in the match.

From there on, someone turned off the switch on Federer, as the World no.2 wasn’t quite moving well on the court, had lost some confidence on his ground strokes and wasn’t generally able to serve his way out of trouble.

Millman kept knocking on the door, refused to go away and rose to the occasion during the important moments of the set.

In the end, a horrendous tie break in the 4th set from Federer(wherein he served 2 double faults) meant that Millman had pulled off the biggest upset of his career.

The Arthur Ashe was deflated as they had seen their hero bow out in a way that is uncharacteristic to him.
