Cristiano Ronaldo’s summer move to Juventus is regretted by Florentino Perez, the sources say.

Cristiano Ronaldo decided to swap Real Madrid for Juventus in the summer transfer window and the fee is said to be 100 million Euros. It was clearly understandable from the financial point of view that the club president Florentino Perez had to sell him because he would not be able to recoup that amount as the Portuguese International would have turned 34 next summer.

However, TuttoSport claims that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is regretting his decision to let Cristiano Ronaldo go in the summer transfer window. The Galactico president will never admit it, but he knows he made a big mistake.

Some months before, Cristiano Ronaldo said that Florentino Perez was the reason for his departure from Real Madrid.

“I felt it inside the club, especially from the president, that they no longer considered me the same way that they did in the start. In the first four or five years there I had the feeling of being ‘Cristiano Ronaldo’. Less afterwards. The president looked at me through eyes that didn’t want to say the same thing, as if I was no longer indispensable to them, if you know what I mean.

“That’s what made me think about leaving. Sometimes I’d look at the news, where they were saying I was asking to leave. There was a bit of that but the truth is I always had the impression the president would not hold me back. If it had all been about money, I’d have moved to China, where I would have earned five times as much than here [at Juventus] or at Real. I did not come to Juve for the money. I earned the same in Madrid, if not more. The difference is that, at Juve, they really wanted me. They told me that and made it clear.” They showed me that.

“The truth is that the president wanted me but, at the same time, he made it known to me that my departure would not constitute a problem.”

The club pursued deals for Kylian Mbappe, Eden Hazard, and Neymar as a replacement, but they were able to lure them to Santiago Bernabeu.

Another laughable move made by Florentino Perez was to appoint Julen Lapotegui who was on duty with Spanish national team, but once the national team board heard about the agreement in place with the Los Blancos without their consultation, they decided to show him the exit door two days before the kick start of 2019 FIFA World Cup.

If he was able to trigger him from the national team, he should at least grant the wish of the manager. But, despite the repeated attempts of trying to pursue a prolific striker, they had to go back for Mariano Diaz who had an excellent season with Lyon but lacks quality when compared to other strikers.

Despite the sacking of the former Spain manager, things have not changed at Real Madrid as they continue to be inconsistent under Santiago Solari.

It has been a contrast for both the sides as one has kick-started in a supreme fashion, whereas the other team has been suffering without his presence.

Upon his arrival in Turin, the Old Lady has lost just four points out of the available 57 points this term, thereby sitting at top of the pile and eleven points clear of second-placed Napoli.

On the other hand, Real Madrid are currently fifth in the League table, having gained only 31 points from 18 games this campaign. Without his presence, they have struggled for goals, and Karim Benzema leads the way for the Los Blancos with 12 goals followed by Gareth Bale with 10.

Real Madrid will face Leganes in the Copa Del Rey Round of 32 today followed by the game against Real Betis in the La Liga on Sunday.
