One of the most outspoken managers in the world of football, Jurgen Klopp has always been known to speak his mind. And his recent comments on Mehmet Scholl are a testament to Klopp’s vociferous personality.

Hitting out at former Bayern Munich player Mehmet Scholl, Jurgen Klopp minced no words as he tore into Scholl. Klopp’s comments were prompted after Scholl had previously got onto belittle 38 year old Edin Terzic who was recently appointed as Borussia Dortmund’s caretaker manager.

Scholl had said of Terzic: ‘There is not much in his words. It’s like saying the sun will shine tomorrow. His analysis is not tangible.’

Klopp Lends Support To Terzic

Miffed at the comments, Klopp had come out to bat for Terzic who has previously worked under Klopp as Borussia Dortmund’s assistant manager of their academy system.

“What is Mehmet Scholl’s raison d’être to judge coaches? It’s kind of like talking about car manufacturing. I have no idea about that either,” Klopp said.

“Mehmet Scholl feels called to break the baton with young German coaches. I hate to comment on such things, but he always talks about people he doesn’t know.”

“He tried it as a trainer, he couldn’t do it, and now he’s talking about it as if he had eaten the wisdom with spoons.

“He talks about how he can no longer hear all of this. This was the first time that one of the trainers spoke. How can you no longer want to hear something from someone who expresses himself for the first time?,” Klopp added as he pointed out how Scholl had failed in his two outings as Bayern Munich’s assistant manager.

Scholl had previously in his career spent a magnitude of his career at Bayern Munich where he had gone onto lift eight Bundesliga titles with the club along with the one Champions League.
