TheSportsRush provides India’s day 14 schedule at Asian Games 2018.

As the Asian Games enter its final phase, all events, bar one will see their gold medal matches on day 14. Mixed triathlon will be the only event to be played on September 2, i.e. the final day of Asian Games 2018. India, however, will not be participating in the event. Day 14, hence, will be India’s final day in competition at the continental tournament.

India made improvements in various events at the Asian Games this year, and stood on the podium for the first time in tournament’s history in quite a few. PV Sindhu became the first Indian female badminton player to win a medal at Asian Games, while Indian men’s team and the mixed doubles duo of Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra also secured the first ever tournament podium finish in Table Tennis.

In athletics, India went past their 2014 Asian Games gold medal tally on merely the second day to the start of the event. In Kabaddi, however, both the men’s and women’s team faced shock losses. This was the first time in history of Asian Games that India failed to win a gold medal at the Kabaddi event.

As the action moves to the final day of the Asian Games, we take a look at events where Indian athletes will aim at adding to the medal tally.

India will be in action in the Canoe/Kayak Sprint, while Siddarth Bajrang Pardeshi will be India’s sole contention in men’s 10m platform diving.
