Jharkhand keeper Ishan Kishan has replaced Sanju Samson in the India A squad after Samson failed to qualify the Yo Yo test.

The India A team is scheduled to tour England for a tri series against England A and Windies A in what would be a breeding ground for young Indian talent to strive for a place in the senior side. Few weeks before the India A tour and the one off test between India and Afghanistan, the BCCI conducted the Yo Yo test which has now been made compulsory for the players to qualify.

Players failing to do so would be dropped from the squad. While pacer Mohammed Shami was not able to qualify the Yo Yo test from the senior squad, which has a minimum passing unit of 16.1, Sanju Samson failed to qualify the test from the India A squad.

Samson has now been replaced by Jharkhand wicket keeper Ishan Kishan. Kishan played for Mumbai Indians in the recently concluded IPL and had a decent enough season. However, Sanju Samson fared quite better than him, scoring 441 runs in 14 matches at an average over 30. Where as young wicket keeper-batsman Ishan Kishan who played in the top order for MI ended with 275 runs in 14 matches at an average of 22.

The India A team is scheduled play a tri-series against England A and Windies A in England. The tour will commence from the 22nd of June. It will include 6 league games and two practice matches.

Delhi Daredevils captain Shreyas has been named as the captain of the India A side. This would be a great experience for the young blokes as they will be part of competitive cricket against the likes of Windies Aand England A. if they have a good outing, we can also hope to see at least a couple of them in the senior side when India tours England in the future.
