“Thiago slows the game down”: John Barnes Circles In On The Midfielder As Liverpool’s Waning Form Infront Of Goal

The midfielder has said he had no qualms in shifting to the Premier League

After initial teething problems, Thiago Alacantra is slowly starting to show why he’s held in such high stature. The midfielder has started taking over control of Liverpool’s midfield, dictating play and traversing the ball from defence to attack with ease.

With Jurgen Klopp deploying Fabinho in midfield, Thiago has benefited from the switch. He’s managed to unlock his true potential and overhaul his underachieving form to leave his side’s ardent supporters chuffed.

However, prior to the last couple of fixtures, everything wasn’t quite so hunky dory for Thiago. Struggling to settle into his groove, the midfielder was persistently smeared and belittled for his lack of influence on the pitch.

Thiago Talks About Liverpool Transfer

Thiago has now for the first time since making the move from Bayern Munich, opened up on his transfer. Despite his listless showings early on in his Liverpool career, Thiago has no qualms about deciding to leave the Bundesliga for the Premier League.

Thiago also talked about how it was a straightforward decision for him once Liverpool came calling.

“When I got the call, it was an easy choice,” he said.

“But it was a difficult decision whether I should really leave Bayern. In the end it happened and I’m very happy.”

“Leaving Bayern gave me the chance to learn about the Premier League.”

Liverpool Get Much Needed Break

Liverpool who have endured a torrid season are currently in the midst of a much needed three week break. The side has gotten time away from the game to get its house in order with the international qualification outings being slated for the upcoming couple of weeks.

Liverpool will be looking to utilise the period to address their predicaments. The club stares at a gruelling fixture pile once football returns with the club being drawn alongside Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The side will also be aspiring to curb its six match losing spree at Anfield as it vies for a top 4 spot in the Premier League.
