WWE announced Jeff Jarrett as the latest entrant to be inducted into the prestigious Hall Of Fame. Jeff Jarrett will join ranks alongside Bill Goldberg, The Dudley Boyz and Ivory in the line-up at the ceremony.

Jarrett was part of the World Wrestling Federation from 1992 and was a recurring heel under the name “Double J” where he portrayed a country singer. Jarrett was a part of the Royal Rumble 1994 where he was eliminated in just 90 seconds by Randy Savage.

Jarrett went on to win his first Intercontinental title by defeating Razor Ramon at Royal Rumble 1995. Jarrett departed the company over contract disputes shortly after Royal Rumble 1996.

The star then jumped ships over to rival promotion WCW, but the stint was short lived as Jarrett returned back to the WWF after just a year. Jarrett continued to shuffle between the promotions and collecting accolades along the way.

Jarrett is a six-time Intercontinental Champion and a four time WCW World Heavyweight Champion. To add to the accomplishments he is also the recipient of the WWF Tag Team Title and the WCW United States Champion.

After his departure, Jarrett began his own promotion, TNA, where he was active both on and off screen. Jarrett was inducted into the TNA Hall Of Fame In 2015.

Jarrett was interviewed by NBS Sports shortly after the announcement, where he expressed his shock and delight on hearing the news. He said:

“Quite frankly I’ve thought about that. Who am I? Why am I going in now? They asked and I had to do a head-scratcher because it was literally a shock. There are less than 200 wrestlers in the Hall of Fame and you think about the thousands of guys that have laced up the boots and I’m going to be one of those 200. It just doesn’t seem right in my brain.”

Jarrett’s induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame is highly deserved considering his dedication to the business over the years. He will always be remembered for his gimmick and will go down in history as one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions of all time.
