Los Angeles Lakers Vs Houston Rockets

LAL Vs HOU Dream 11 Prediction: Los Angeles Lakers Vs Houston Rockets. Lakers suffer a stunning game 1 defeat to Houston Rockets.

Partaking in a tedious and rigorous schedule against Oklahoma City Thunder, when Houston Rockets got ready to take on Los Angeles Lakers in the conference semi-finals, few gave them a chance of even coming close to the Lakers. The Rockets were pushed hard by Oklahoma, a side which just about managed to stumble its way into the semi-finals.

With their series going all the way down to game 7 and with just two days in between their scrimmage against the Lakers, fatigue was touted to be a massive concern for the Rockets. Along with it, the manner in which Oklahoma pacified their attack put the Rockets in a quandary with the Lakers heavily vouched to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Its this narrative which made the Rockets 112-97 win over Los Angeles Lakers in the series opener all the more special. In what was a spectacular show of will and resolve, the Rockets refused to let their tiring legs refrain them from curbing a rampant Lakers side to take a crucial opening lead in the semi-finals.

Probable Winner

While the Rockets were massively hailed for their emphatic performance, the Lakers saw the same issues entrap them. A lack of high conversion when shooting paired with a lack of resources in the roster saw the side suffer yet another dismal attacking showing.

While they have managed to get away with this dilemma all season, the Rockets are a whole different proposition. However, the Lakers have some worldclass names, players who should take the side to a series levelling win in this one.

Probable Playing 5

Los Angeles Lakers

James, Davis, Green, Alex, Kentavious

Houston Rockets

Eric, Tucker, Robert, Harden, Westbrook

Dream 11 Picks

Point Guard

Stepping out for the first time inside the bubble, Rajon Rondo showed why he’s such a pivotal component of the Lakers setup. Despite it being his first game in over five months, he utilised his ability to open the zone to shoot his triples at a high success rate.

Rondo’s return resulted in limited minutes for Alex Caruso but we’ll still be opting for the point guard. The Los Angeles Lakers player is well adept at both shooting from the corners and pulling off dimes for his side.

Houston Rockets on the other hand see us indulge in the services of Austin Rivers. His ability to backstep and come up with points from the deep has seen him get a solid number of minutes on the court.

Shooting Guard

Top scoring for the Rockets in game 1, James Harden yet again played a quiessential part in the side’s consummate success. With the Lakers forced to spend time guarding Westbrook, Harden utilised the open zones to layup his three pointers with a high efficiency rate.

Small Forward

Eric Gordon is a man out on a mission for the Rockets. He’s come alive inside the playoffs with his resplendent touch extending to the bygone affair where he made full use of his ability to backstep and shoot to drop a 32 point showing.

Power Forward

Robert Covington didn’t have the best of times infront of the basket the last time around but that didn’t deter him from delivering a sublime performance. His defensive skill set saw him protect his side’s rim to perfection with him pulling off 7 defensive rebounds for the side.

At a time when the Lakers were unable to wrench out of the stronghold the Rockets had them in, Anthony Davis once again proved to be the silver lining for them. He top scored with 25 points to keep the Lakers in the game till the fourth quarter.

Centre

A clash constituting of fine margins meant Jeff Green’s jump shots made a massive role in Houston’s win to see the imperious centre be nailed down by us for today.

Star Player

The 25-14 Davis dropped in game 1 sees him be our star player while James is the pro player.

Dream 11 Team

Caruso, Rondo, Rivers, Harden, Gordon, Davis, Robert, Green
