Michael is 13 years older than Woods. So, even though both treated each other as equals, there was an obvious mentorship going on between them. The age gap ensured that Woods started looking up to Michael, asking him for advice.
Things truly changed for Tiger when once Jordan and Derek took the golfer to a nightclub. The golfer saw Jeter and Michael Jordan gracefully talking to different women, impressing everyone in their path. The s*xual charm they oozed changed Woods’ perspective. It lit a fire inside Tiger Woods.
Watching his friends’ impressive performance, the young golfer turned to them for advice. Jeter and Jordan told Woods to tell women he was Tiger Woods.

Before Michael and Derek Jeter’s advice, Tiger was likely inept at wooing women. By all likeliness, he was definitely not the man he would later turn into.
