The Aaron Rodgers saga is as unclear as ever. But the Broncos still seem the clear No.1 to land him if he does end up out of Green Bay. However, Peyton Manning doesn’t think it will come through.

The Broncos already have 2 semi-starting quality Quarterbacks, but adding Aaron Rodgers to the offense will lift the team to new heights. Teddy Bridgewater will head into the OTA’s on his third roster in as many seasons. Lock will hope to rejuvenate the faith that the Broncos had in him after an impressive rookie season. So bringing in Rodgers will not be a stretch.
But Peyton Manning doesn’t think a Rodgers to the Broncos will happen.
Peyton Manning hopes Aaron Rodgers stays in Green Bay
Peyton Manning appeared on the MLB Network ahead of the 2021 Home Run Derby on Monday and was asked what will Rodgers do when the 2021 season begins.
“Great question. Obviously, it’s the question of the summer here in Denver,” Manning said, per NFL.com. “Obviously, I hope he plays somewhere this year. The fact that Aaron Rodgers might not play this year, I can’t fathom it.”
“He’s too good of a player. Too fun to watch for the fans. I personally hope it’s in Green Bay. That’s what I see him as. I hope they can kinda make amends and work [it] out. That team is so close, if he were to leave there it’d be a major change, obviously, for them.”
“My gut is he’s not coming to Denver. My gut is Denver’s gonna have Drew Lock or Teddy Bridgewater be their quarterback. At this point, you gotta kinda know what your plan is, you can’t be having a new quarterback three weeks before the season.”
“When I think of Aaron, I think of him as a Green Bay Packer,” Manning said. “Hopefully, they can get it worked out.”
Drew Lock’s sophomore slump saw him win only 4 games and lose 9, as he threw 16 scores to 15 interceptions, despite having a loaded receiver core. Teddy Bridgewater could only lead the team to a 4-11 team. Rodgers on the other hand had another MVP season at age 37. So bringing in Rodgers might be high on the Broncos’ priority list.
