Deion Sanders is set to continue his media career with Barstool Sports after his contract with NFL Network expired.

After 14 years working as an analyst with NFL Network, Sanders announced that he would be leaving earlier this week. It was reported that his contract expired, but he opted to leave himself.
Why did Deion Sanders left NFL Network?
Following his departure, there was speculation that he was forced out after his comments on players opting opt of the 2020 season over coronavirus concerns. There were also rumors that he left to pursue a career in coaching, something he has spoken about on multiple occasions.

What seems more likely now, however, is that he left over a contract dispute. According to the New York Post, Sanders was asked to take a pay cut from “what is surely a seven-plus-figure salary.”
The Hall of Fame cornerback had a long and successful career in the NFL (and the MLB). Over the course of 14 years, he won 2 Super Bowls and recorded 53 interceptions. For his effort, he was paid more than $33 million totally.
Although his contract details with Barstool aren’t clear yet, he will likely be paid a hefty sum. Prime Time will easily be the highest profile addition to the company which has been on the rise the past few years.

Sanders appeared on Barstool’s podcast, “Pardon My Take”, in July. On Wednesday, it was announced on the same podcast that Sanders would be joining the team. He said, “I had no idea when I went on with you guys last time that this would transpire so quickly”.
Sanders, who was nicknamed Prime Time and wore jersey #21, will now be the host of his own podcast entitled “21st and Prime”. He is also expected to regularly appear on “Pardon My Take”.
