Rondo on LeBron James' leadership

LA Lakers are going to enter a new era, with LeBron James at the helm of it. A franchise that boasts of having nurtured some of the greatest that our sport has ever seen, LeBron James is going to be an addition to that illustrious list of ballers who have played for the Lakers.

Joining him would be point guard Rajon Rondo, who moved to the Lakers from the Pelicans this season.

Rondo and James have played against each other for a fair share of 13 years, and would be relishing the fact of playing with each other for the first time in their careers.

Rondo had seen LeBron’s leadership from a distance up until now, but is surprised to see its effect from such close quarters.

For Rondo, Lebron’s leadership seems all the more better when visualising and experiencing it whilst being his teammate.

“I played against him for 13 years now, but obviously I think what your hear versus what you see is a little bit different,” he said.

“He isn’t who I thought he was, he’s probably even a better leader, especially on the floor, telling everybody where to go and directing traffic. I’m so used to doing that myself, so it’s kind of refreshing to me to not have to talk every possession down the floor because I have someone else doing the same thing that you can obviously trust.” he added.

LeBron has always been a great leader, helping players around him to raise their game, something that even Rondo is known for.

In Rondo, LeBron probably has the best possible point guard, one that can help him flourish with the Lakers in the best possible way.
