PSG and Brazil left winger Neymar has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. It is being said that Madrid’s president Florentino Perez has an obsession with signing Neymar at some point. Less than a year ago, the Brazilian left Real Madrid’s arch rivals Barcelona for a transfer to Paris.

He has dominated in the French League winning the league title as well as the domestic cup. However, only a year after his £222 million transfer to the French capital, it looked like Neymar was on his way back to the Iberian region of Europe.

However, Real Madrid’s bosses have other ideas even after Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus.  An official announcement has been made by the 13 time UEFA Champions League winners on their website a few hours ago, strongly denying claims that they had agreed to a transfer with the player’s management.

“Given the constant information linking the PSG player Neymar Jr. with our club, Real Madrid CF wants to clarify that there are no plans to make any offers for the player,” the statement read.

“The relationship between the two clubs is extraordinary, so that, if at some point Real Madrid were considering hiring a PSG player, the first thing we would do would be to go to the club.”

Real Madrid would now their attention towards other talent available in the market. Eden Hazard is claimed to be the primary target for the Whites and another goal-scoring striker which could be Harry Kane after his exploits with Tottenham Hotspur in the last four seasons and lately in the World Cup.

As things stand, Real Madrid have publicly denied being in contact with PSG or Neymar’s representatives over a transfer, but Perez’s hunger of signing the 26 year old has left things unpredictable. Yet, as the famous line goes- if Real Madrid want someone, they eventually end up getting their man.
