The last player Real Madrid bought in the January transfer window was Lucas Silva in 2014/15 who is now representing the Brazilian outfit Cruzeiro.

With his desire to move back to his home saw him getting offered to the Los Blancos who did not think twice about landing the youngster who could prove to be a great asset in the forthcoming years.

The youngster has played in four games for the Citizens this term, competing with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahez, Raheem Sterling, Ilkay Gundogan, and Phil Foden for a place in the starting eleven.

The same can be said about Real Madrid squad with the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Marco Asensio, Isco, and Rodrygo already in the line, Diaz will be hoping for game time in cup competitions next summer.

Florentino Perez is already trying to restructure the club from bottom to top and is ready for a summer clearance which will see some players leave the club. Luka Modric, who has only one year contract is being linked with Inter Milan.

On the other hand, the likes of Isco and Marco Asensio have been struggling to get minutes under the management of Santiago Solari. It is no rocket science that the Los Blancos are in search of young quality players by taking the long-term picture into consideration.

Manchester City will be kicking themselves to lose Brahim Diaz, just after six months of Jadon Sancho’s departure to Borussia Dortmund. The English International has made the scouts of several sides turn the heads with some great performances for the Bundesliga outfit.
