Alexis Sanchez’s future at Arsenal is clear – he’s not going to be at the club next season. The question now is, where will he be heading?

While Manchester City are the front-runners for the Chilean international, the forward has set his sights on a move elsewhere. As per reports, the former Barcelona star is desperate to join Real Madrid next summer.

Sanchez was close to joining Manchester City in the summer but Arsenal decided not to sell him at the last moment. The Gunners were unable to sign a replacement on time and thus decided not to sell him to Manchester City.

Zinedine Zidane is also said to be interested in signing Alexis as he looks for an experienced player to replace Benzema in the starting XI. The manager has reportedly informed the board about signing Sanchez soon.

Real Madrid will have two choices now – sign him on a free transfer in the summer or pay the £30 million Arsenal are demanding for him and sign him up in January.

Arsenal meanwhile are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain to swap Sanchez for Julian Draxler. Wenger has been a fan of the German ever since his Schalke days and has reignited his interest in him.
