Pandya apologises to Dhoni and Shastri: The Indian all-rounder has offered an apology to the former captain and the Head Coach.

India all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s misogynist comments on renowned TV show ‘Koffee With Karan’ has seen him receiving severe criticism in the last few days. Pandya’s ‘going with the flow of the show’ has it in it to hand him suspension from the Indian team.
With India slated to play the first of the three ODIs against Australia at Sydney from tomorrow, India captain Virat Kohli has asked about the same in the press conference. While Kohli clearly mentioned that the Indian team doesn’t support such comments, he also spoke about waiting to get a confirmation on the availability of the pair.
With Pandya’s words clearly depicting his disrespect for women, he was issued a show cause notice from the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). Despite Pandya apologising on social media platform Twitter and his reply to the show cause notice, the matter doesn’t seem to have sorted out.

It is understood that Pandya has also apologised from the team regarding his behaviour in the talk show.
According to a report in the Mumbai Mirror, Pandya apologised to former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman in limited-overs Mahendra Singh Dhoni and head coach Ravi Shastri for his words on the show.
However, it is still not clear if he will feature in the first ODI or not. A certain starter otherwise, India would look to play an extra fast bowler (instead of second wrist spinner) and Ravindra Jadeja to provide apt balance to the playing XI.
It is worth mentioning that Pandya and Dhoni share a good bond between them. On the same talk show, Pandya chose Dhoni as the better captain between him and Kohli. During an interview where he discussed all his international captains, Pandya had claimed Dhoni to be his favourite Indian cricketer.
