The Wales coach is set to face a court hearing after the police found substantial evidence against him

For ex-Manchester United player, Ryan Giggs, things are looking extremely bleak and gloomy.

Accused of sexually assaulting two men in 2020, Giggs is all set to face action against the charges. The Crown Prosecution Service has found substance in the allegations directed towards Giggs with the court going onto charge the Wales coach with charges of misdemeanour and assist.

Giggs Granted Bail

Giggs who has received bail ahead of being asked to appear before the Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday April 28 is currently in the midst of a soup.

The CPS said: “We have authorised Greater Manchester Police to charge Ryan Giggs with engaging in behaviour which was controlling or coercive and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

“A charge of assault by beating relating to a second woman has also been authorised. Mr Giggs will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 28th April.

“The CPS made the decision to charge Mr Giggs after reviewing a file of evidence from Greater Manchester Police.

“Criminal proceedings are active and nothing should be published that could jeopardise the defendant’s right to a fair trial.”

The Greater Manchester Police went onto divulge further details of the complaint. The case being built up against Giggs sees him charged with assault causing actual bodily harm against a woman in her 30s and the common assault of a woman in her 20s.

The unsavoury incident occurred in November last year and is understood to have happened at Giggs’ home in Worsley near Salford with the 30 year old woman treated for injuries in the aftermath of the violent conduct.

Giggs could face a potential jail sentence if deemed to be guilty of the charges levelled against him. It remains to be seen if Wales decide to relieve him of his duties given the severity of the malicious activities Giggs is said to be accused of.
