A confused Virat Kohli stares Danny Morrison in the RCB-SRH match

It was a strange sight at the toss when Danny Morrison, in line with his ludicrous antics, tried to feel Virat Kohli’s pulse near his neck as it invited a stare from the RCB Captain.

It left the viewers puzzled as Danny Morrison asked the RCB Captain, “nervous, nervous?” at the toss ahead of the match between MI and RCB at the Wankhede stadium. In the process, the Kiwi also tried to feel Kohli’s nerves near his neck. Kohli could not understand what Morrison was up to and let out a strange look.

However, he soon regained composure and replied, “It’s my 163rd IPL game; I have been in these situations before. The key is to enjoy ourselves”.

As it turned out, RCB lived up to Kohli’s expectations and trumped the table-toppers SRH. After this win, RCB have now jumped to the 5th spot and are in contention for qualifying to the playoffs.

After the early loss of the wickets of left-hander Parthiv Patel, Virat Kohli looked determined to take RCB to a big score as he pulled Rashid Khan for a boundary. On the very next ball, Rashid came back strongly and slipped one under Kohli’s bat to dismiss him.

It was the ABD-Moeen show from there on as both notched up 60s. At the fag end, CDG and Sarfaraz Khan played quick fire cameos to take RCB well beyond 200.

The SRH chase was led by Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson but ultimately the total seemed too big. Hyderabad fell short by 14 runs as RCB remained alive in the competition.
