George Russell’s F1 dream will come to fruition next season, when he steps into that Williams car in Melbourne to take part in the Australian GP.

The young British driver has made it to F1 through the ranks, winning the 2018 F2 championship and also having won the 2017 GP3 championship.

He will be racing alongside Robert Kubica next season and is doing everything he can to make a mark in his debut season in F1.

While Williams struggled massively last season, unable to make a mark of any sort, Russell would be hoping that the new aerodynamic regulations help Williams rise up the ranks, thanks to some of those new aerodynamic tweaks that the team is working on.

While that is something that the team has to be working on, Russell is training hard, working on his neck strength to be ready for the rigours of an F1 season.

Now, while F1 drivers might not have to run like athletes from other sports, they have to indulge in different types of exercises and training methods in order to succeed at the highest level.

Driving a car at insane F1 speeds and manoeuvring through turns requires a lot of neck stability, something that the F1 drivers train for day in and day out.

It helps them in maintaining the required head position while driving an F1 car through turns on an F1 circuit.

So, next time you hear a non-F1 fan questioning the amount of fitness required to become an F1 driver, show that person this video.
