Yuvraj Singh's training video

Yuvraj Singh’s training video: In a new training video, Yuvraj Singh has defied the odds to set up new benchmarks.

Veteran Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been in the news since yesterday after he posted a video of training in the gym across his social media accounts. An epitome of motivation, Yuvraj was seen doing weight training in the video.

What came out as the highlight of the post was its caption which said “Last year I was told that m old for power training & shd stick to my normal routines. Dont tell me I cant do something cause m going to #doitagain till I reach my goalsLook forward to start of a new season. Remember its never too late to learn something new n achieve it.”

Yuvraj’s message has become another evidence of the 36-year old being a fighter in real life. From the cricket ground to real life, Yuvraj has battled with hardships in a determined manner.

‘Man of the series’ in the ICC World Twenty20 2007 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, Yuvraj had last played for India more than a year ago when India had toured West Indies for a five-match ODI series and a one-off T20I.

Injuries and inconsistent form forced the selectors to drop him from the national team. With the Vijay Hazare Trophy beginning next week, Yuvraj would be eyeing a spot in Punjab’s team to press a case for his national selection.

The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
