A Deeper Look Into an Eight-Figure Deal Turned Down by Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou

Francis Ngannou achieved his life-long dream of becoming a world champion by knocking out Stipe Miocic at UFC 260.

After winning the belt, Ngannou defended it once against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. At that time, little did we know that it might be the last time we see Francis in the UFC

Francis Ngannou walked away from a deal that would have made him the highest-paid heavyweight of all time stating he wanted more than just money from the UFC

Since becoming a free agent, Ngannou has been in talks with the UFC's rivals such as ONE Championship, Bellator, PFL and others.

While Ngannou was linked to many promotions, his negotiations with ONE Championship had reached an advanced stage.

However, ONE Championship supremo Chatri Sityodtong recently confirmed that the promotion would no longer be pursuing Francis Ngannou.

According to Spinnin Backfist, Ngannou turned down a guaranteed $20 million offer from the promotion as he wanted non-monetary benefits as well which the company was not willing to give.
