As per the reports, Bill Elliott and his brother, Ernie Elliott, are planning to sell their land to the Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area.
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for the state of Georgia approved the purchase. The land is located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
What Did Friedman Say?
Steve Friedman, the chief of real estate for the DNR expressed that the land would aid in the preservation of certain state-protected species of fish.
He said, “Both tracts are available because the Elliott brothers wanted to see them protected, and as such they’re selling them for below appraised value.”
Land Details
Bill Elliott owns a 62-acre plot of land that costs $301,279 while he and his brother together own a 275-acre tract of land that would cost around $1,324,312.
