From Broke and Homeless to UFC Champion: Sean O’Malley’s Inspiring Journey to the Top

Sean O'Malley knocked out Aljamain Sterling in the second round at UFC 292 to become the bantamweight champion of the world.

However, his path to UFC gold was anything but easy. O'Malley was born and raised in Helen, Montana.

The 28-year-old started his MMA career in Montana and had his first five fights in his hometown.

During this period, O'Malley worked alternate jobs to earn a living, couch surfed and even slept in his car to make ends meet.

Things changed for O'Malley once he got his chance on Dana White's contender series.
