How Much of His $207 Million Contract Will Tyrese Haliburton Lose Out on to Taxes?
We're just a few days into the NBA off season and teams are bolstering their squads by retaining top talent with huge contracts.
The most recent example of the same was the Indiana Pacers extending Tyrese Haliburton for a 5-year $207 million contract.
However, we take a look at how much of it will Haliburton actually take home after taxes.
Haliburton will earn a yearly salary of around $41.4 million of which $15.3 will go for Federal tax and $4.1 million in NBA escrow.
Additionally, he will pay $1.2 million in agent fees and $971k in FICA.
To add to that, $690k in Jock tax, $652k in Indiana tax.
This means that for Haliburton the net income on a salary of $41.4 million will be $17.7 million.
