LeBron James’ 2% Stake In Liverpool FC Is Now Worth $100 Million
Fenway Sports Group (FSG) owns the successful Liverpool Club that they brought in 2010.
How did LeBron James become a minority owner of Liverpool?
LeBron James in 2011 had the opportunity to negotiate an interesting deal with the FSG who had just purchased Liverpool for $480M.
He allowed FSG to use the LeBron name in pitch deals, receive royalties & add them to their portfolio, in return for 2% in Liverpool.
That’s paid off in a big way, especially since Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League in 2010-11.
Just LeBron James’ stake is now worth $100M!
But that’s not all.
LeBron James makes another interesting move by trading his Liverpool stake for a 1% stake in the FSG itself.
This move gives him access to potential multiple sports leagues & may allow him to fulfil his dream of owning an NBA team!
Now the Billionaire is set to maybe increase his net worth further, with FSG officially declaring that it is set to sell Liverpool.
