Basketball with Michael Jordan's signature was gifted to North Korea

A book detailing all the presents that international heads of state and governments gave to the late leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-il, has been published by the North Korean Foreign Languages Publishing House.

The propaganda book has more than 200 pages with a variety of items.

According to the book, the leader has received gifts from more than 40,000 people from 170 nations.

There is an intriguing note on page 163. A Wilson basketball with Michael Jordan's autograph is shown, and it is said that Kim Jong-il received the ball.

Basketball was Jong-il's favourite sport, as reported in October 2000 by US Secretary of State Madeline Albright.

The book is presently on display at the International Friendship Exhibition House in North Korea. All continents are represented, however there are no South Korean presents in it.
