Tim Cook Led Apple Breaks Huge Target Thanks to Lionel Messi Arrival in the MLS

A few months back, Lionel Messi shocked the world by announcing that he would be joining MLS side Inter Miami.

Ever since he has joined the MLS, Lionel Messi has brought with him a lot of eyeballs on the league.

Most recently, Messi scored 2 including a last minute equaliser to secure a penalty shootout win over FC Dallas.

The MLS is currently being streamed on Apple TV+ after reaching a deal with the MLS in February of this year for a duration of 10-years.

According to CEO Tim Cook, Messi's addition has helped Apple surpass targets for Apple TV users.

In an interview he said, "It's clearly in the early days, but we are beating our expectation in terms of subscribers."

He added, "The fact that Messi went to Inter Miami helped us out there a bit – and so we're very excited about it."
