Ungrateful or Exploited? The Michael Oher Saga Explained

Super Bowl winning offensive tackle Michael Oher has been in the news recently for the wrong reasons, let's take a closer look at the issue.

Oher's rags to riches story was adopted and made into a Grammy Winning film 'The Blind Side' in 2009.

According to the story, Oher a foster child is adopted by a wealthy family where he blossoms into a college athlete.

Oher then goes on to play for Ole Miss, where his adoptive parents studied and then eventually the NFL.

According to a recent court filing by Oher, he was never adopted, rather tricked into a conservatorship.

The Blind Side went on to amass more than $300m (£237m) at the global box office and millions more in home video sales.

Sean Tuohy commented on the matter saying, "It's upsetting to think we would make money off any of our children. But we're going to love Michael at 37 just like we loved him at 16."
