Victor Wembanyama was the picked first by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2023 NBA draft.

Going into the 2023 draft there was absolutely no doubt that Wembanyama would be the first pick and that he would be heading to San Antonio.

While most rookies do not make much in the first contract, the top 10 picks usually get extremely lucrative contracts.

According to reports, Wembanyama is set to receive a 4-year $55 million contract from the Spurs.

This means that in his first year, the 19-year-old is set to make $12.1 million.

In year two Wembanyama will make $12.7 million followed by $13.3 million.

In his final year, Victor will make $16.8 million. However if he performs as the Spurs expect him to his contract extension will exceed the $350 million mark.
