Ronaldo’s future has been up in smoke ever since the club was sent packing from the Champions League

Joining Juventus in 2019 for a staggering 99 million pounds, Cristiano Ronaldo has managed to leave a serious impact on the Serie A. The 36 year old Portuguese has spearheaded Juventus’ attack, fulfilling the role the Italian club had brought him on board for.

However, despite piling on the goals for Juventus, Ronaldo’s stay at the club isn’t exactly touted as a massive success for either him or Juventus. The club has crashed out in the round of 16 of the Champions League in both the seasons Ronaldo has stepped out for the club, results which have raised questions over the player’s impending time at the club.

Losing to Porto in the 2020-21 edition of the marquee competition. Juventus were left stunned in the round of 16 once again. Ronaldo dropped a stinker against Porto, a performance which was berated and slammed by even the club’s most boisterous supporters.

While Ronaldo did silence his naysayers in style with an emphatic hattrick against Cagliari, one which saw him surpass Pelle’s 770 career goals, Ronaldo’s future is still far from ascertained. While Ronaldo had hit out at the ever increasing noise engulfing him, many envision the player leaving the club come the end of the ongoing season.

Ronaldo on Instagram after his hattrick: “Now I can’t wait for the next games and challenges! The next records and trophies!

“Believe me, this story is still far from being over. The future is tomorrow and there’s still a lot to win for Juventus and Portugal!

“Join me in this journey! Let’s go!”

Morata Shuts Down Reports Of Ronaldo’s Exit

However, his peer, Alvaro Morata is having none of the news of Ronaldo wanting to part company with Juventus.

“I don’t think that’s the case,” Morata told El Larguero while on international duty with Spain.

“It would have been the same had he joined another club.

“He’s used to winning Champions League finals. It’s not a Juventus thing. He’s happy in the team.

“Will he return to Real Madrid? We talk about everything except football, really.”
