Both the forwards hinted towards leaving Real Madrid at the end of the season in their post-match interviews.

Real Madrid defeated Liverpool in the Champions League final last night. With this victory, they became the first team to win three consecutive Champions League titles. Zidane created history as he also became the first manager to achieve this feat.

However, the Real fans soon received a blow when their star forwards, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo appeared for post-match interview.

The Welsh star expressed his disappointment at not starting the final. He insisted that he needs to start week in-week out, but that didn’t happen this season.

“I had an injury five, six weeks in but fit ever since. I have to sit down with my agent in the summer and discuss it,” Bale said.

His comments has caused a stir among the Real Madrid faithful and has put most Premier League clubs on alert.

Later, Cristiano Ronaldo also sensationally hinted that he might call time on his Real Madrid career. He said in the post-match interview, “It was very nice to be at Real Madrid.”

“In the coming days I will give a response to the fans, who have always been at my side,” he added. Although Ronaldo later said that it wasn’t the “right moment to talk about personal things”, he didn’t clarify the comments on his future.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was asked about the post-match interview of both the forwards. He replied to the question with conviction.

“Cristiano Ronaldo has to stay at Real Madrid”, Zidane affirmed. “Cristiano Ronaldo will stay with Real Madrid, but we have to see. I think he is a Real player and we cannot describe what he has done in his career,” Zidane said.

While his comments on Ronaldo were full of effusion, his views on Bale’s situation don’t inspire confidence. “His situation is a bit more complicated,” he said. “Everyone has their own interests and future to think about,” Zidane added.

“From time to time, some players deserve more time on the pitch, and I understand a player who wants to play more,” said the Real Madrid manager.
